Stephen Yen  D.M.D., Ph.D

Stephen Yen graduated from Harvard College and Harvard Dental School(D.M.D.) in 1985.  He received his orthodontic residency training and Ph.D in Craniofacial Biology  in 1993 from the University of Southern California.  He was awarded a training grant from the National Institutes of Health and is the recipient of multiple research grants from the NIH and other research institutions.  He is involved in teaching residents and fellows, especially orthodontists interested in learning about surgical orthodontics and craniofacial anomalies.  His research interests range from clinical methods for treating difficult cases to molecular etiologies of facial overgrowth.  He is the director of a fellowship in craniofacial orthodontics.
