Charles R. Kokesh, MBA, JD

Mr. Kokesh earned his JD degree from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law, his MBA from Harvard Business School, and his BA from Harvard College.  Hands on experience as an entrepreneur, banker, venture capital investor, and CFO / Controller for public and private companies.  Demonstrated expertise in entrepreneurship, goal setting, business planning, and team building.

Mr. Kokesh worked for Citibank in their Middle East Division as a foreign exchange trader, lending officer, operations officer, and branch manager in Beirut and Doha; for Arthur Young & Co. CPAs in San Francisco as an auditor and tax consultant; for Levi Strauss & Co. as International Finance Manager directing foreign currency risk management and hedging strategies; and for Bank of America as Vice President and Director of Global Treasury Management responsible for international financial consulting and foreign exchange trading.  He founded and was Managing Partner for Technology Funding and later served as CEO and Vice President of Manufacturing for Dakota Arms.

Technology Funding managed 10 private equity funds, 11 publicly registered venture funds, and invested $315 million in approximately 250 early stage companies.  As a board member and major investor, Technology Funding helped 69 companies go public and assisted a significant number of portfolio companies be acquired by much larger firms.  Mr. Kokesh served on the board of directors or the executive committee of more than 40 start-up companies. Technology Funding focused on investments in medical technologies, information systems, and advanced manufacturing technologies.
